A local mom is blaming Milford police for her sons death, saying they were careless and didn't do the right thing. Nicholas Brown's mother says she knows her 24-year-old son wasn't always an angel. Lori Brown says he had several medical conditions including asthma and a weak lung. She says she never expected to wake up this week and never see her son again. She now vows to find out what happened.Nicholas died in police custody after he was arrested Thursday outside a Red Roof Inn. Police said they Tasered him twice because he was uncooperative, tried to run and pulled what they believed could be a weapon out of his pocket. It turned out to be two marijuana butts. During a routine physical check, police said they found Brown sweating profusely. They decided to take him to Milford Hospital, but he went into cardiac arrest en route and died.Milford police say the use of the Taser was in compliance with their use of force continuum and that Brown did not request any medical attention. They say there were no physical indicators to the officers something was wrong and their routine is physical checks every 15 minutes.
