Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard is launching the "Blasting into Summer Savings" pilot event Saturday, July 3.
It will offer what is believed to be the lowest-priced gas in the state.
Two-hundred passenger cars will be able to fill up their tanks.
Drivers need to be from Mount Vernon - and diesel fuel will not be available.
The event runs from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pre-registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
