Nearly 1,000 students at New Rochelle High School walked out of school Monday.
They were protesting what the school says is an alleged sexual assault that took place four years ago.
The school says the alleged assault took place at an off-campus location. That allegation led to a fight between two other students on the school's campus.
During the walkout, there were reports of multiple scuffles on school grounds. One student went to the nurse's office and reported he was assaulted.
One student was arrested for assault. Due to his age, no name is being released.
