Rail leaders announced that the New Canaan line will return to full service on Aug. 30.
Riders currently have to switch trains in Stamford, resulting in longer travel times.
The rest of the New Haven line is adding service later this month too.
Ridership is back to around 40% of pre-pandemic levels.
