New Canaan police say they need help sorting through the evidence collected from a recent burglary investigation. Police confiscated hundreds of items from alleged burglar Brian Carter, who worked as a carpenter under the names Clinton Construction and the Kitchen Doctor. Police say anyone who hired Carter over the last several years may have become one of his many victims. They say most of the stolen equipment belongs to the New Canaan Library or a local department store, but there is a handful of unique items they just can't place. Anyone who thinks they may have been victimized can call the New Canaan Police Department with a description of the items they believed were stolen.
