News 12 Connecticut's Frank Rechhia hosted a fundraiser for a nonprofit builders' group in Darien Saturday night.
Hundreds turned out to support the Building Hope Foundation, which helps people with autism through music therapy.
The nonprofit also supports veterans, law enforcement and their families and many others.
"Our scholarship winners are here, which is very exciting for us — and it's just a great time to celebrate and to celebrate hope in this age," said the foundation's Mary Boudreau.
"We have had amazing recipients of our awards this year and we have an amazing host in our great friend Frank Recchia," said Andrew Lasala, also of the Building Hope Foundation.
Organizers thanked everybody who turned out to make the nonprofit's first in-person gala since the pandemic a big success.
