Gov. Ned Lamont was in Wallingford Tuesday morning to announce new state funding for Connecticut Foodshare.

The nonprofit works to combat food insecurity across the state.

Lamont says the money will help expand access to nutritious food for families in need. "That's what Foodshare does every day, doing everything we can to make sure that no one goes hungry in the state of Connecticut," he said.
