A Fairfield County nonprofit wants to treat food insecure families to a night out of dining while supporting their favorite restaurants.
Filling in the Blanks is dedicated to getting meals to Fairfield County's food insecure children when they can't count on school lunches.
They say the pandemic has forced them to get creative on delivery.
Colleen King and Lexi Ceci came up with the idea for Fund Restaurants, Feed Families, an initiative that asks diners to buy gift cards to their favorite restaurants to donate.
Filling in the Blanks provides meals to more than 30,000 food insecure children in Fairfield and Westchester counties.
