North Stamford house fire displaces three residents and pet
Firefighters were called at 3:02 a.m. to a home on Chestnut Hill Road after a resident reported the house was on fire and another family member was still inside.

A house fire in North Stamford displaced three residents and their pet early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called at 3:02 a.m. to a home on Chestnut Hill Road after a resident reported the house was on fire and another family member was still inside.
The caller was helping the family member get to safety, according to the Stamford Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire at the rear of the home involving a screened porch, kitchen and family room. Fire had also extended into the attic, with heavy smoke throughout the 1½-story residence.
The fire was brought under control within 54 minutes.
The home sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the three displaced residents and their pet.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Stamford Fire Marshal's Office.
