Norwalk is offering free 15-minute parking in the Wall Street neighborhood.
The parking option is for all on-street metered spaces in the Wall Street area.
Mayor Rilling said the goal of the new pilot program is to increase convenience for residents and visitors.
The city says it will also help spur more revenue for local businesses in the area.
The meter sessions will be marked by license plates.
Officials said residents and visitors will be allowed only one free session per day.
