Norwalk library employee killed in a hit-and-run

Police said 58-year-old Dawn Kravarik, of Norwalk, was one of the two injured victims who had been riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a vehicle that fled on Bayne Street at East Rocks Road.

The Norwalk PD and Mayor Harry Rilling said the community is mourning the loss of a Norwalk Library employee killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday.

Police said 58-year-old Dawn Kravarik, of Norwalk, was one of the two injured victims who had been riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a vehicle that fled on Bayne Street at East Rocks Road.

Kravarik was transported to the Norwalk Hospital and pronounced dead.

Investigators were able to locate the vehicle and person of interest.
