A man from Norwalk recently returned from crossing New Zealand on his skateboard.
Geoffrey Saunders created online videos sharing his 400-mile journey. He raised over $2,000 for a local nature charity supporting wildlife in crisis.
He describes the trip as a profound experience that made him appreciate beauty everywhere.
“No one can take this from me, I can look back and be like, ‘I did this. I chose something, built it up and finished it’,” said Saunders.
Saunders had to delay his trip for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those who wish to help in Saunders' effort to help wildlife can donate to the
GoFundMe.
