The potential severe weather heading toward Connecticut canceled today's Norwalk Oyster Festival, the City of Norwalk Emergency Management Team announced.
The festival will reopen at 11 a.m. Sunday.
In a Facebook post, the Norwalk Seaport Association, who organizes the annual event, said the decision was based on the forecast which called for severe weather that includes hail, tornadic activity and lighting.
