Norwalk police are reaching out to the public for answers in a nearly 5-year-old fatal hit-and-run on Van Buren Avenue.
Police say 26-year-old Jamie Lane was walking with another person when they were both hit by a silver BMW 5 series. The driver fled the scene.
Police are reminding potential witnesses that there's an up to $50,000 reward on the line.
The reward was first offered after the crash in 2016. When News 12 Connecticut spoke to Lane's family at the time, her mother was desperate for answers.
This week, police reminded residents of the open case through the new NorwalkPD mobile app.
Officers say if the money doesn't jog any memories, they're hoping another look at Lane's picture will.
If you have any information that could lead to an arrest and conviction in that case, you're asked to call Norwalk police.
You can download the NorwalkPD app for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
