A taco truck in Norwalk is getting national recognition after landing on Yelp's top 100 places to eat this year.

Tacos El Azteca pride themselves on giving customers Mexican dishes with fresh ingredients handled with care.

"We do it with our heart, we cook with our heart" says owner Juan Martinez.

The family-owned taco truck located on the corner of Main and Cross streets landed itself on Yelp's top places to eat in 2021 - coming in at No. 33.

"Can you imagine No. 33 in the whole U.S.? I mean that's great," Martinez says.

Yelp said this year's list was formed by thousands of suggestions and reviews, and reoccurring customers say there's no surprise to this. Martinez says the recognition is an honorable one.

"It's like a dean's list almost, like we're doing something right," he says.

Tacos El Azteca is approaching its ninth anniversary of business and thanks its customers for their continued support.

Residents can call ahead to pick up or order at the truck. They're open every day from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.
