The Norwalk YMCA closed its doors yesterday. Officials said the closure was prompted by a decline in membership and the high cost of maintaining the old building.
They say anyone who paid for programs scheduled to run past Dec. 31 will receive a pro-rated refund.
Current memberships will also be honored at other YMCA locations in Fairfield County.
