Officials: Body of teen pulled from water in Cheshire park
The body of a teen was pulled from the waters in a Cheshire park, officials say.
The body was discovered Monday after officials say an 18-year-old boy went missing while swimming with family on Sunday in Mixville Park.
The Cheshire Police Department did not identify the body, but say the teen was visiting family from Ecuador and was not believed to be a strong swimmer.
Rescue crews searched for the teen after he went missing Sunday, but called the search off until Monday once night fell.
The teen's body was recovered Monday morning after the search resumed.
The Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
