Officials: Inmate charged with murder at Connecticut prison

State police say 31-year-old Kyle McKinnon killed his cellmate, 26-year-old Kenne Montaner-Buscampell, on Dec. 12 at Suffield’s MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution.

A male prisoner has been charged with murder, accused of strangling his cellmate at a Connecticut prison.
State police say 31-year-old Kyle McKinnon killed his cellmate, 26-year-old Kenne Montaner-Buscampell, on Dec. 12 at Suffield’s MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution.
Police say Department of Correction staff told them that McKinnon disposed of the victim's body in the cellblock common area before confessing to the murder.
DOC staff gave police video surveillance footage of the incident.
McKinnon is charged with murder and strangulation in the first degree. His bail and bond were set at $1,000,000.
