Officials: Man arrested for illegal firearm and large amounts of marijuana in Bridgeport

In the vehicle they found 22 ounces of marijuana, over 100 THC cartridges and a gun with an extended magazine.

Bridgeport police say they found an illegal firearm and a large amount of marijuana during a traffic stop Thursday.
They say Brian Figueiredo Silva was stopped on State Street and West Avenue for an equipment violation.
In the vehicle they found 22 ounces of marijuana, over 100 THC cartridges and a gun with an extended magazine. The gun did not have a serial number.
Silva is the subject of a protective order which prevents him from owning and possessing a firearm, and he was also driving with an expired license.
His bond was set at $75,000.
