The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating a fire that happened on Monday evening.
Crews responded to 6 Wilton Ave. just before 7 p.m. There were no injuries reported from the fire. According to a press release from the Norwalk Fire Department, the fire happened in a two-story vacant warehouse.
When firefighters arrived, they noticed that smoke was coming from the second floor.
A door was forced open and that's when the fire department determined that there was an electrical fire inside the building. Because of that, a decision was made to not allow firefighters to enter the building until the electric company arrived to shut off the power.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 6:49 p.m., but the last companies didn't clear the scene here until about 10:15 p.m. because of the extensive overhaul that was needed.
