Police are investigating a triple shooting in Bridgeport Thursday that left one woman dead and two others injured.

Police say the shooting happened around 6 p.m. at 275 Jefferson St. near the Newfield Avenue intersection. The two injured women, 35-year-old Erica Anderson and her daughter, 20 year-old Octavia, were both shot in the chest. The third woman, 23-year-old Rogerlyna Jones, was pronounced dead. Officials say they are unsure if Jones is related to the other two victims.

Investigators say they have a suspect in custody and are interviewing witnesses to determine a possible motive. They believe the suspect knew the victims.
