A nonprofit organization in Norwalk gave out Christmas dinner for people in need on Christmas Day.
Open Doors served roast beef, baked ziti, vegetables, and more.
The kitchen staff says they don’t just do this for Christmas - they pride themselves on the homestyle meals they provide every day.
Although the need is bigger during the holidays, kitchen staff says their service is available to those in need year-round.
“The fact that I can be a blessing to someone is the best part of it all. Every day should be like Christmas, and everybody should be in a place to look out for their neighbor and serve their neighborhood,” said Open Doors cook Clarence Percy.
The kitchen staff says they always welcome donations of canned goods.
