Orange police say a fugitive was arrested in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and brought back to Connecticut on Tuesday.
Jonathan Ortiz, a former Bridgeport resident, was wanted in connection to a violent home invasion in June 2020 and for burglarizing that same home in May 2020.
Officials said Ortiz fled Connecticut following the home invasion.
Detectives said a petition to the court to approve his extradition was granted, and two Orange officers traveled to Milwaukee and arrested Ortiz.
Officials say Ortiz was processed and charged with home invasion, robbery, burglary and assault to an elderly and larceny.
Ortiz was arraigned Wednesday in Derby. He is being held on a court-set $75,000 bond.
