We have some interesting weather developing over the next few days, changing seasons, basically. And by the time we get to Sunday, it's going to be warmer but rainy and windy. So much rain, about 2 to 3 inches could fall that that may lead to some flooding. We may also have some damaging winds. Winds could gust as high as about 50 miles an hour and that's enough to possibly cause some power outages. So make sure all your devices are charged that knock down or destroy some of those holiday decorations. So please secure the objects outside your home if you can before Sunday. And then we want to watch the coast for some title flooding during our high tide cycle coming in Sunday into Monday. Now, tomorrow it's a chilly start to the morning but a better finish. Much warmer by the afternoon, winds are generally, I don't foresee any major issues on the roads due to the weather. Enjoy the day because it's quiet temperatures in the forties. So you still need some nice warm layers, but you really don't need the heavy duty winter coat. You will need the umbrellas and all that rain gear. Waking up Monday morning from that storm coming in late Sunday, temperatures are going to crash after that. Highs back into the forties and lows in the twenties next week.

Our Lives: Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards

Welcome to our lives. I'm Gwen Edwards. Inclusive leadership leadership that develops and grows as one brings on others into the business. My guest today has come up with an award that will spotlight those who are champions of inclusive leadership. Simone Morris. Thank you so much for joining us today here on our lives. Thank you so much, Gwen. It's a pleasure to be back on our lives. All right, tell us all about it. Yes, we, I'm so excited about this inaugural Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards event. It's an opportunity to recognize people that are doing great work to foster inclusion in the workplace in the community in the world. We want to recognize and celebrate that and what inspired you. I'm inspired in general about an inclusive world and workplace and it's an opportunity to do this. This is something I haven't seen in our local area and I feel really strongly about recognizing people who are showing up authentically and doing the work to again, like I said, Gwen Foster inclusion. And what are some of the criteria for a nominee? We are looking for evidence, examples of the work that people are doing and we are looking for impact people to specify the impact that their work has made. So it could be, someone has put on a training that has educated and elevated people's cultural awareness. It could be an event, you know, it could be starting a employee resource group in the workplace to identify a specific category of people and bring them together to again, create belonging and inclusion. Those are some examples, Gwen and talk about the process. You are nominated and then what happens you are nominated and then it goes into a queue. You've got judges lined up who are going to go through the entries and then select winners in four categories. Then we're going to let the winners know that they have in fact won this award and we are leading up to an event on November 2nd, that's going to be held at the Carriage Barn in U Canine. And so the winners will come out to celebrate and be recognized as well as it's open for the public to buy tickets to the event as well. So if someone has a nominee in mind, how do they proceed? They go to the website il I awards dot com and there you can nominate, you can purchase a ticket to attend the event and you can even sponsor the event. So if you don't have someone to nominate but want to lend your support by behind the cause, you can sponsor the event as well. Well, Simone.
