People came together on the New Milford Town Green Sunday for the inaugural Overdose and Recovery Festival.
Hosted by Brian Cody's Brothers and Sisters Foundation, the festival hoped to help individuals and families work to overcome and prevent addictions.
Over 30 local vendors were on the green supporting the cause, including recovering artists who were selling their work.
There were also tents that provided resources for people struggling with addiction.
Organizers said their goal is to end the stigma surrounding addiction and pave the way across Connecticut to combat the opioid epidemic.
