Norwalk's Health Department awarded its top ratings Tuesday to local food establishments who made the grade.
The city held an award presentation ceremony at Panera Bread on Main Avenue. The department recognized Panera along with 270 other restaurants with their top Lighthouse Ratings for 2022.
The restaurant received a certificate for public health code safety and sanitary guidelines.
According to the Health Department, top Lighthouse Ratings go to establishments that receive consecutive excellent inspection grades in the previous year.
"It's good incentive for everybody," said Bill Mooney, the assistant director of Health, Environmental Health with the City of Norwalk. "
Panera Bread staff says they will display their certificate proudly.
