Extra police patrols have been greeting students and staff at Milford Public Schools this week.
In a letter to parents Monday night, Superintendent Anna Cutaia said while no specific threats had been made, extra patrols would remain in place for the rest of the week.
Cutaia then released a second statement, seemingly addressing parents' concerns about a lack of specifics.
The statement said in part, "While I understand your fear and concern, I am unable to share details with parents regarding safety/security issues. Our communication was not meant to heighten worries but rather be proactive by letting parents know about additional support at our schools."
