Connecticut is home to the PEZ company, and they produce all their candy for both the United States and Canada right in the town of Orange.
The iconic dispensers have become a part of pop culture. If you haven't been to their visitor center, then what are you waiting for?
The PEZ brand started in 1927 and was originally created in Austria as an alternative to smoking.
PEZ came to the United States in 1952, but it wasn't until 1973 that they came to Orange and constructed a manufacturing facility.
On an average day, PEZ makes about 12 million pieces of candy. That equates to about 1 million rolls a day.
Their interactive visitor centers include a scavenger hunt that gets you involved with the items on display, and it moves you through the exhibits.
There is also touchscreen trivia and some match games.
The center also grants a view into the factory with a window, through which production and packaging of PEZ dispensers can be seen.
This year, PEZ will produce a special 10-year birthday PEZ dispenser that will only be available at the visitor center.
