Gov. Ned Lamont visited Bridgeport Hospital Monday to discuss Family Bridge, a pilot program that sends home health care workers to help families who just had babies at the hospital.
"The care and the concern, the listening the gentleness, the time that she took to sit down in my home and be sure to listen to me and give me great advice and to let me know that she was there for me," says new mother Bianca Charles, speaking about the worker who visited her at home.
Family Bridge launched last October.
The state provides funding for the program, so families don't have to pay.
