More than two dozen pizza trucks and breweries were at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater Sunday afternoon for the Pizza & Brew Fest.

Pizza and beer enthusiasts were ready to fill up on slices and draft tasters. Those who have a passion for making pizza told News 12 that they were happy to be a part of the festivities. “

To see someone bite into something and have a smile on their face and actually laugh and enjoy – is worth everything.” said Frank Zabaski, owner of New Haven Pizza School.

Last year, Nautilus, a Milford restaurant, was voted “Best in Fest.” Owner Nick Amoratis attempted to defend the title and win again this year.

“We were very humbled last year. Lot of big names, these guys have been doing this 30, 40 years and more – so we’re pretty new so it’s cool to win.” said Amoratis.
