Plane crashes into Litchfield County campground

Plymouth police said the pilot was taken to the hospital.

A small plane crashed Monday in a campground in Litchfield County, according to officials.
The crash happened before 11 a.m. and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was notified at 11:22 a.m.
The NTSB said the airplane was flown by a student pilot.
The pilot was flying a Cessna 172 airplane when it crashed into a Plymouth campground.
Plymouth police said the pilot was taken to the hospital.
Police did not release information on the severity of the pilot’s injuries.
The NTSB is investigating what caused the plane to crash.
