State police say the shooting happened just before 4 a.m.
They say the victims' car pulled off the interstate at Exit 10 in Darien near Noroton Avenue and Maple Street.
Darien police say a patrol sergeant noticed the car driving slowly in the area. They say the driver told the sergeant what happened.
