Police: 1 dead in shooting that shut down Route 8 in Bridgeport for hours

One person has died after a shooting that led to the hourslong closure of a major roadway in Bridgeport Tuesday.

One person has died after a shooting that led to the hourslong closure of a major roadway in Bridgeport Tuesday.
The northbound side of Route 8 between exits 4 and 5 is now reopened following an investigation by Connecticut State Police.
Police say a male who was found with a gunshot wound was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Police say another person found with injuries that are not life-threatening was also taken to a hospital.
Detectives say the identity of the victim will not be released at this time and that he was the intended target.
