CT strengthens its hate crime laws. But one victim thinks the changes go too far

A woman was killed and a man was injured following a domestic violence incident in Winchester Monday, police say.

Police responded to a home on Oak Street around 9:40 p.m.

Officers found 54-year-old Carrie Stetson dead and 67-year-old Leon Stetson seriously injured. Leon was taken to Hartford Hospital and is in critical condition.

Town officials say this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
