Police: 1 man arrested following street takeover, violent struggle in Bridgeport

Police say one man was arrested following a street takeover that lead to a violent struggle in Bridgeport.
The incident happened on Sunday on Park Avenue and State Street.
Police say when they tried to conduct an investigation at a gas station, many bikers began circling the intersection creating unsafe road conditions.
That is when police say one of the bikers, Nathaniel Smith, 23, reversed directly into oncoming traffic.
Officers say they tried to detain Smith, however Smith began violently struggling. That is when officers noticed a gun in his fanny pack.
Smith faces several gun charges, assaulting an officers and reckless driving charges.
Smith’s bond is set at $125,000.
