A 13-year-old girl was shot during a chase between stolen cars on Saturday night near Yale New Haven Hospital.
Police say two stolen cars were chasing each other near an intersection around Howard Avenue and Park Street when an individual inside the car fired shots at the other.
Police say a 13-year-old girl inside one of those cars was hit by the gunfire and then dropped off at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
Her injuries were not life-threatening, and she has since been released, according to authorities.
Police have since recovered the stolen cars and are searching for suspects connected to the shooting.
