Two men are facing multiple charges for leading police on a chase in Torrington.

Torrington police say Pawel Rembiszewski, 31, was recklessly driving a Chevy Silverado on East Main Street on Thursday.

They say officers attempted to stop him, but he refused.

Police said Rembiszewski sideswiped a vehicle on Albert Street, then drove onto Route 8.

Officers were finally able to arrest him after the car was located by a passerby on Highland Lake Road.

Marcos Marrero, 60, the passenger, had a warrant for his arrest out of New Britain. Marrero was also arrested and is facing charges for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said the same vehicle was believed to be involved in hit and run crashes in Hartford and West Hartford before driving to Torrington.

Rembiszewski is facing DUI, possession of narcotics, engaging police in pursuit, evading, illegal passing and reckless driving.
