Three bodies were discovered inside of a home in Stamford, police say.
Police say the discovery was made at 39 Scofield Ave. after a furnace repairman was called to the home to service the heating unit Thursday night.
Police say the repairman went down into the basement and noticed that a woman was sleeping.
The repairman worked on the furnace but then realized she was dead and called police.
Officers arriving at the scene found two men dead inside the kitchen.
Police say all three deaths appear to be related to fentanyl and not the furnace that was broken.
Sgt. Jennifer Lynch says the home appears to be divided into apartments.
Police are not releasing the names until next of kin are notified.
Stamford police say they did find narcotics that they're testing. They're also waiting for the autopsy results from the medical examiner to confirm that this was caused by drug overdoses.
