Police in Bridgeport say three people were hit by vehicles in separate incidents Sunday.

Police in Bridgeport say three people were hit by vehicles in separate incidents Sunday.
A pedestrian and multiple vehicles were hit just before 10:30 a.m. on Orchard Street. Police say they detained the driver. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
The second incident happened just before 6 p.m., when a pedestrian was hit at the corner of Housatonic and East Washington avenues. Police didn’t have any further details.
Then, just after 8 p.m., another pedestrian was hit at Main Street and North Avenue. Police tell News 12 the person who was hit was able to get up and walk away from the scene.
The Bridgeport Police Department urged “drivers and pedestrians to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings.”
