Police say three shootings this week on Stamford's west side are all related and are the result of an ongoing dispute between two neighborhood groups.
A shooting on Myano Lane Tuesday afternoon forced nearby Westover Elementary School into a semi-lockdown as a precaution. A bullet grazed a man's head, but no one else has been hurt in any of the other shootings.
Tori Lashune Fitts says someone opened fire at her apartment twice on Myano Lane Tuesday, leaving her walls riddled with bullet holes. Fitts says someone is targeting her 17-year-old son and that both of them are terrified.
Officers believe the shooting is part of a simmering rivalry between teens from Spruce Street and the Myano-Connecticut Avenue area. Detectives believe the groups are not organized gangs.
Police say they know some of the people involved in the shootings, but they are not cooperating with the investigation.
