An 84-year-old man was struck and killed by a motorcycle while crossing the street in Stamford, police say.

An 84-year-old man was struck and killed by a motorcycle while crossing the street in Stamford, police say.
The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on Courtland Avenue near Seaton Road.
Police say the 84-year-old man lived at a nearby condominium complex.
They say he appeared to be leaving the complex and was crossing Courtland Avenue, when a motorcycle traveling northbound on Courtland Avenue hit him.
Police say the man was not in a crosswalk. He died at the hospital.
Police say the motorcycle operator, an 18-year-old Stamford man, was taken to the hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening.
