A West Haven man is facing charges after he fatally stabbed a person during a bar fight, police say.

Police say 49-year-old Omoyeni Frank got into an altercation with a patron at the Muzeum Bar.

Frank stabbed the victim in the chest during the fight, according to authorities.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a nearby hospital and died from their injuries.

Police say following the fight, Frank left the bar and drove home.

When police arrived at his residence, the vehicle Frank drove in to the bar was parked in the driveway.

Frank was taken into custody by the West Haven police department's Special Response Team.

He was charged with murder and is being held on a $2 million bond.

Frank is expected to appear in Milford Superior Court Tuesday.
