Police: Bridgeport man facing several charges in Iranistan Avenue shooting

Authorities say Hommy Rodriguez complied with the officer and his K-9 and was taken into custody without incident.

A Bridgeport man has been arrested in a shooting that left a 24-year-old man seriously injured.
Police say Hommy Rodriguez,45, was arrested Wednesday within minutes of a shooting on Iranistan Avenue just before 9:30 a.m.
The victim was shot in the head and is in critical condition.
Authorities say Rodriguez complied with the officer and his K-9 and was taken into custody without incident.
Rodriguez was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
His bond was set at $1.5 million.
The shooting remains under investigation.
