State police: Person fatally struck by passing vehicle in Southbury
yesterdayA driver was killed in a car crash into a New Haven restaurant.
It happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday on Forbes Avenue.
A Toyota Highlander crashed into the side of Scarpellino's restaurant.
Police say the driver died at the hospital.
He has been identified as 22-year-old Wilmer Lopez, of New Haven.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
