A Fairfield man is accused of uploading suspected child sexual abuse material to a social media platform, police say.
Police say 19-year-old Jayden Oliva was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.
An investigation into Oliva began after the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received Cypertips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding the upload of suspected child sexual abuse material to a social media platform.
Detectives worked with Stamford police to identify Oliva as the responsible person, according to officials.
An executed search warrant revealed that Oliva allegedly possessed numerous images and videos of apparent child sexual abuse material.
Oliva was held on bond and was expected to appear in court Thursday.
