Police say one person was killed Thursday in a crash on Route 7 in Ridgefield.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. on Route 7 near Stonehenge Road.

Police say two cars crashed and that one of the drivers was killed.

Police say Jose Miguel Guillen-Hernandez, 20, died at the scene. They say the second driver Karol Mora, 44, was transported to Danbury Hospital.

Route 7 was closed for hours Thursday because of the crash.

Police did not say what caused the crash.
