A homicide in Bridgeport's Greene Homes community Wednesday comes as Park City Communities -- the local housing authority -- holds community meetings about plans to demolish and then rebuild the troubled complex.
"We want to seek input from our residents as we move forward with this process -- because nobody should have to be exposed to gun violence, and especially not where they live," said PCC executive director Jillian Baldwin.
A Bridgeport man, 45, was found shot to death in a hallway on the fifth floor of Building 4, shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
It's the city's sixth homicide of the year.
Detectives, who say the shooting appears to have been targeted, have not yet released the victim's name.
Anybody who can help police is asked to call 203-576-TIPS.
