A New York man is facing drug charges after Connecticut state police say he was found with more than eight pounds of cocaine in his car.
Troopers say they stopped 46-year-old Rueben Abreu on I-95 at Exit 35 in Milford for speeding Saturday morning.
Police say they saw indicators of drug trafficking in his car and called in Fairfield K-9 Officer Kevin Wells and his partner, Jagger to help search.
Police say Jagger found vacuum-sealed bricks of cocaine with a $250,000 street value.
They say Abreu is due in Milford Superior Court Monday.
