Police say a man from New York was killed in a crash on I-84 in Southbury.

They say Ronald Shaw's car went off the road before Exit 16. Police say he then walked onto the highway where he was struck by another car driven by Hilary Wolpert, of West Hartford.

Shaw died at the scene.
