A man was rescued from the water on Sunday after his car plunged into Long Island Sound in Norwalk, police said.

Police said the man was the only person inside the car and was rescued by people who witnessed the incident.

The Norwalk Police Dive Team assisted in the removal of the car.

Police said no one was injured.
